Integration of Voice Notes with AI (ElevenLabs)

This guide explains how to set up and use the Text-to-Speech (TTS) feature with ElevenLabs on our WhatsApp automation platform.

What is it? #

This integration allows you to convert written text into WhatsApp Voice Notes that sound natural and human. The system uses ElevenLabs’ artificial intelligence to generate the audio and automatically sends it as if it were recorded from the microphone (PTT – Push to Talk).

Configuration #

To use this feature, you need to configure your ElevenLabs API Key in the device settings (Slot).

  1. Go to your ElevenLabs control panel and get your API Key.
  2. In your agency dashboard, open the WhatsApp Slot settings.
  3. Enter your ElevenLabs API Key.
  4. Select a Default Voice from the list (the system will load the voices available in your account).
  5. Save your changes.

How to Use (Commands) #

You can generate voice notes using the special command #voice in any outgoing message (from GoHighLevel, n8n, or automatic replies).

Basic Syntax #

#voice||Your message here

This will use the default voice configured in the slot.

Advanced Syntax (Specific Voice) #

If you want to use a different voice for a specific message, you can include the voice ID:

#voice|VOICE_ID|Your message here

Example: #voice|21m00Tcm4TlvDq8ikWAM|Hola, esto es una prueba.

System Performance #

  1. Detection: The system automatically detects any message that begins with #voice.
  2. Generation: Send the text to ElevenLabs to generate the audio.
  3. Sending: The audio is converted and sent to the end user as a Voice Note (green wave) on WhatsApp.

NOTE

If you do not configure an API Key in the slot, the system will attempt to use the agency’s global configuration (if it exists). If there is no configuration, the command will fail and return an error.
