Authorize permissions in GoHighLevel correctly

During the installation of WaFloW.ai in GoHighLevel (GHL), a series of permissions are requested.
This document explains which permissions are granted, why they are necessary, and how to authorize them securely.


Why does WaFloW.ai require permissions in GHL? #

WaFloW.ai integrates directly with GoHighLevel to enable you to:

  • Send and receive WhatsApp messages.
  • Create and update contacts.
  • Apply labels automatically.
  • Enable automations and flows.
  • Record conversations within the CRM.

Without these permissions, the integration cannot function properly.


When to apply for permits #

Permits are requested:

  • During the installation process of WaFloW.ai at GHL.
  • Right after selecting the correct GoHighLevel subaccount.

At this point, GHL will display an authorization screen.


What permissions are requested #

WaFloW.ai only requests the permissions necessary for its operation.
These include:

  • Access to contacts (read and write).
  • Access to conversations and messages.
  • Access to tags.
  • Access to automations and flows.
  • Basic access to the selected subaccount.

👉 WaFloW.ai does not access information outside the authorized subaccount.


How to correctly authorize permissions #

To complete the authorization:

  1. Review the list of permissions displayed by GoHighLevel.
  2. Ensure you are in the correct subaccount.
  3. Click Allow & Install.

Once this is done, the permissions become active immediately.


Good security practices #

  • Authorize permissions only from accounts with administrative access.
  • Always verify the subaccount before accepting.
  • Do not share unnecessary administrator access.
  • Periodically review the applications installed on GHL.

What happens if you do not authorize permissions #

If the necessary permits are not granted:

  • WaFloW.ai will not be able to send or receive messages.
  • No contacts will be created or updated.
  • Automations will not run.
  • The subaccount will remain incomplete or inoperative.

In that case, you will need to repeat the installation process.


How to revoke permissions (if necessary) #

If at any time you need to withdraw access:

  • Access the applications section in GoHighLevel.
  • Locate WaFloW.ai.
  • Revoke or delete the application.

⚠️ When permissions are revoked, WaFloW.ai will stop working on that subaccount.
